Jonathan Rincon Lopez

Jonathan Rincon Lopez is a co-founding member, and the Managing Director of the Economy Zero Group. He also leads the economic analysis work that the organization carries out.

He currently works at an international managing consulting firm on the practical implementation of the energy transition in various markets worldwide. He focuses on energy economics issues such as regulatory economics, capital planning, and economic policy. Simultaneously, Jonathan is the North America Regional Lead for the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), a global non-profit at the forefront of standard setting for calculating emissions associated with financial activity.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering; as well as a Masters of Global Affairs, from the University of Toronto, with an emphasis on global capital markets and the energy transition. He has professional experience in mining engineering, building science consulting, energy economics consulting, and impact investing.
