Webinars
Our webinar series used to run on a quarterly basis and rotated through the world's main regions. We still host webinars on an ad-hoc basis bringing together subject matter experts from various regions in the world to discuss the most pressing themes regarding decarbonization.

Decarbonization & Energy Security - Latin America & The Caribbean
(April '24)
The relationship between how decarbonization can impact energy security (the affordability and continuous supply of energy) is not often discussed and not fully understood. In Latin America, hydropower dominates electricity grids and climate change is altering hydrology patterns. At the same time, the Caribbean relies on fossil fuel imports for the majority of their energy consumption. In this panel we discuss how decarbonization can bolster energy security in the region, and what is needed to help startups in climate tech, and bring more financing to the region.
Decarbonizing Downtowns -
North America (August '24)
A webinar all about the current state of building decarbonization in North America, the role that policy can and should play, and emerging tech and trends. This panel had representation from the public sector, the private sector, and civil society.
Clean Electrification Prospects in Sub-Saharan Africa - Africa (April '25)
Sub-Saharan Africa has been a region that has housed a significant portion of the world's population that still lives without access to electricity. As of 2023, the region housed about 600 M people without access to electricity, which represents about 80% of the world's total population without electricity. Part of the problem has been explosive population growth which creates a moving target for electrification efforts. Decarbonization and clean electricity solutions, both centralized and decentralized can provide a new path forward to improve electrification rates in the region. In this panel we discuss how these new solutions can help, and what are some of the obstacles in the way to implementing them.
Regional Collaboration Towards Decarbonization - Europe
(September '25)
This Decarb Webinar explored one of the world’s most ambitious climate experiments: the EU’s climate mitigation framework. Through the Green Deal, binding governance, and tools like the Emissions Trading System and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, the EU has built a framework uniting 27 countries under shared goals while spurring innovation and global standards. Between 2019 and 2023, the EU cut emissions by ~14% while real GDP grew ~3.3%—proof that growth and decarbonization can align. The discussion unpacked how the EU framework works, what drives results, where gaps remain, and what lessons it offers for policymakers, businesses, and investors worldwide.
